In my final essay I would like to explore the effect fashion has on the public by using Glamour magazine. I want to explore this using
ideological method of criticism. I want to include the seasonal effects and the drastic effect that the superstars used for Glamour magazine cover stories has
on it's followers. In the fashion industry it's important to have color contrast, drasctic pattern schemes and
new, fresh ideas. Glamour was developed to keep fashion fanatics aware of new and changing trends. Fashion changes every day and it's amazing how far society would go to keep up with the
new ideas and celebrity styles. Glamour knows that followers of the fashion industry cannot go to expensive fashion shows such as Armani, Fendi or Gucci, so they make a magazine showing pictures of the fashion show so that society can keep up with the trends. I am going to use the ideological method by using specific examples of how
society trys to duplicate the styles of the celebrity ideologies and live to purchase Glamour magazine.

"Fantasy-Themed Criicism"-unclear understanding
One artifact that I could ananlyze using Fantasy themed criticism is the song "I Pray" by Amanda Perez. In this song Amanda talks about her boyfriend and how he was killed in a gang fight. She says in the song "I pray that I see you in another life" meaning that she wants to see him in the afterlife. She talks about how hard it is for her to let go even though it has been 5 months since he passed away.
Initially when hearing the song you think that her boyfriend has left her because she describes his death as him leaving, as if he was still alive just in another place. She also says that he left without a word he just went away, which kind of throws you off and makes you wonder "Where did he go?" She also talks about what he may be doing in the afterlife and asks God to send her an angel to help her cope with her loss.
